Stainless steel is a combination of nickel, chromium, magnesium and other alloys. This combination provides corrosion resistance and durability. There is no coating to scratch, chip or wear off. There is no built-in disadvantage of coated steel.
Frequently used for food grade storage because of its capabilities to meet FDA standards. Stainless steel is sturdy, watertight, resistant to cold weather and can be formed to meet individual preferences.
